Bionic: Natures´ Patent

We have studied and employed lightweight construction for years.  One seeks the perfect balance between low weight and high tensile strength – this balance can be found in Nature in the wings of a bird or in a honeycomb.  Such natural construction is light yet disproportionably strong.  We have taken this bionic principle from Nature and employed it in our own technical application.

When lightweight combined with strength is required then Nature turns to bracing to achieve this combination.  This principle we have employed in our Space Frame construction for the runs of Globelyst in-vehicle units.  The Space Frame enables us to achieve an extremely tough and rigid construction whilst also reducing the mass of materials used and offering us weight savings without compromising strength.  Nature shows us clearly that light weight construction is not just dependent upon the materials chosen.  The way those materials are used and combined with other materials produces the best solution.
