Would you drive your transporter against a wall voluntarily? Sortimo has been doing just that for more than 20 years.

It is the crash test that decides which products make it into the Sortimo system. Sortimo has been conducting live crash tests for more than 20 years in cooperation with our partners from the German ADAC, DEKRA, TRL, TÜV and UTAC. This is the safest way to find out if our in-vehicle equipment will meet the high safety requirements demanded by the automotive industry. During the test, the sled carrying the vehicle body  accelerates up to 64 km/h before hitting the deformation barrier. With a load of up to 600 kg our in-vehicle equipment (including 150 kg approx. of equipment) has to prove its high safety standard. The crash test takes only seconds and then you can see if the load stayed in place and the equipment structure was able to absorb the impact. Sortimo passed all tests with flying colours – which demonstrates that everything was done right. Only those products surviving the tough conditions of crash testing are good enough for our customers.
